BBM Kai

BBM Kai is a programme in South Auckland which will provide free weekly community educational workshops, teaching people how to cook healthy meals for themselves and their families

We are pleased to announce and introduce a new community initiative called BBM KAI

BBM Kai will be delivered in South Auckland to provide free weekly community educational workshops, teaching people how to cook healthy meals for themselves and their families. This is a 6-week program in collaboration with the team at Papatoetoe Foodhub and combined with BBM's From the Couch program

BBM Kai workshops are held on Monday starting with a 30-minute workout and then learning and cooking at Papatoetoe Foodhub.
Wednesday and Friday's sessions are held at BBM HQ Manukau from 11am (fitness sessions and workshop recap)

If you are interested to attend, you must be available and committed to these days and times over 6 weeks.

Goals for this program are to:

  1. Improve knowledge and access to fresh and healthy food with the overall aim to improve social outcomes for families experiencing hardship and health issues.
This aligns with BBM’s mission to reduce obesity in our communities.
  2. Participants will learn how to cook and prepare good meals and to understand how a healthy diet prevents ill health and improves health outcomes
