21st August 2020 | Communications release 5:00pm
BBM Motivation would like to provide an update on the situation regarding a community member who tested positive for COVID-19 and attended BBM West Auckland’s BBM Madhouse Boot camp held at 5:15am at Edmonton Road, School hall on the 10th and 11th of August 2020
All boot camp participants have been tested and they ALL have returned a negative result.
They are all continuing to isolate and follow the advice of the Ministry of Health.
BBM followed health and safety procedures sanitising the school hall after each session and Edmonton Road School has taken the extra precaution of having a thorough Deep Clean carried out of the hall as soon as they were notified at the beginning of the week.
We acknowledge all our members for their quick action and response to be tested and isolated. We also thank the wider BBM Community for their support. Please contact Healthline on 0800 358 5453, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or talk to your doctor if you need Covid-19 advice.
Remember to Be Kind, Be Safe and We Got your back!

17th August 2020 - Communications release 1:30pm
BBM Motivation has been advised by the Ministry of Health that we have had a participant who has tested positive for Covid-19
The person attended BBM West Auckland’s BBM Madhouse Bootcamps held at 5:15am at Edmonton Road, School hall, Te Atatu on Monday the 10th and Tuesday the 11th of August 2020
Immediately when BBM received this news yesterday, our team contacted all participants by phone to advise to isolate and get tested. We were able to do this quickly with the use of MINDBODY software that requires all BBM participants to register for sessions and provide their contact information.
BBM is taking full precautions with testing underway for everyone who was in attendance. We now await results and will keep everyone updated via our social media pages and website.
If you have not been contacted by the ARPHS about being a close contact, then you should follow the rules for Alert Level 3, which include social distancing, having good hygiene practices and being vigilant for the signs of COVID-19.
The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to common illnesses such as a cold or influenza. You may have one or more of the following:
• A cough a high temperature (at least 38C)
• Shortness of breath a sore throat sneezing
• Runny nose temporary loss of smell.
• Shortness of breath is a sign of possible pneumonia and requires immediate medical attention.
BBM Motivation encourage and advise all members to ensure they get tested if they have any of the symptoms and self-isolate.
If you have any questions, please message or email [email protected]
Media article from the New Zealand Herald has also clarified details, that the report this Bootcamp was located in Kingsland, that information is incorrect.
